Summer 2006

We are very excited to welcome our new teacher, Kathy Michaud-Tradd, to South Shore Preschool. Kathy has been a cooperative preschool teacher for 15 years and was also a coop parent serving as Newsletter Editor and Board President. She has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from PCC and is a member of PCPO and the National/Oregon Association for the Education of Young Children.

Kathy brings to South Shore Preschool her patient manner and vast experience and an ability to make children feel competent and secure. She believes coops provide children the opportunity to learn to cooperate, share, respect the rights of others and to appreciate the needs and feelings of their classmates. They are given the freedom to choose, to observe, and to explore in this environment.

Teacher Kathy is looking forward to meeting children and parents alike at the summer play dates and to the start of a great school year at South Shore in September.
